As some of you may have seen, we have added classes to the schedule. Starting July 5th, Capoeira classes will be available 5 days a week for both children and adults as well as an in-person music class. Here is a list of the additions:
Adults:
Monday & Wednesday - All Levels Capoeira 6-7 PM (Online as Well)
Tuesday & Thursday - Open Floor 8:15-9 PM
Saturday - Music Class 3-3:45 PM (No Online)
Kids:
Monday - All Levels Capoeira 5-6 PM (Online as Well)
Wednesday - Youth Capoeira (Ages 8+) 5-6 PM (No Online)
We are looking to start PeeWees back up soon as well, likely on Saturdays at 12:15 PM. What do you think of the schedule additions, good? bad? Questions? Did we miss something?
Batizado!
Everyone has been waiting for an opportunity to get their belts. We had hoped to have a small event this year, but due to the uncertainty of how capable we will be to host such an event with the arrival of our baby, we are putting the Chicago event on hold until 2022. We hope you can understand.
HOWEVER…
Instrutora Arara and Axé Capoeira Kansas City are hosting a batizado where all students will be able to participate in workshops as well as receive their first/next belt. The event dates are August 27-29. Contramestre Bambu will be present at this event and urges everyone to participate. If you are both comfortable and able. We are happy to see everyone coming back to training. Let’s rebuild and reconnect. We hope to see your faces more regularly inside and outside the academy in the coming weeks. We look to start Monthly Rodas soon!
